Biography
Jimmy first entered the profession as an actor in 2007, playing the Young Sirius Black in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. He trained at Drama Studio London after completing a BA in Theatre and Performance at the University of Leeds where he graduated with Second Class Honours.
Since 2022 he has been Education Practitioner for Shakespeare’s Globe leading Shakespeare workshops onsite for children of all ages.
His professional directing credits include The Dog Beneath The Skin and The Skin Game (Jermyn Street Theatre), Bishop Goes To War and Mrs Orwell (Southwark Playhouse), How To Survive An Apocalypse, John Osborne’s A Subject of Scandal and Concern and Tony Harrison’s The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus and Square Rounds; (Finborough Theatre), Julius Caesar (Saatchi Gallery), A Naughty Night With Noël Coward (Old Red Lion Theatre) Improbable Fiction (Courtyard Theatre), Hamlet (Bedouin Shakespeare Company), I the Jury (Hen and Chickens Theatre), Breaded Butler (Troubadour), Narcissus (Pleasance Theatre) and Dear Ray (Edinburgh Festival).
Assistant Direction includes Young Shakespeare Company tours of Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet (Bloomsbury Theatre), Othello (Riverside Studios) and Knock Yourself Out (Courtyard Theatre).
Over the course of his career, Jimmy has directed Gyles Brandreth, Cressida Bonas, Gary Wilmot, Peter Hamilton Dyer, Will Hislop, Noel Sullivan, Ben Lamb, Rachel Pickup, Ian Hallard and Jamie Muscato.
In 2017, Jimmy was selected as a potential nominee in the Arts Category for the Forbes 30 Under 30 Award.
